Help me decide on some Forced Induction combo ideas...

First some background,

this is for a 69 camaro
I'd like to hit solid 10's
I'd like to pull the tires with et streets and min-tub
will have moser 9" & 31 spline axels & locker
th400 & gear vendors over drive unit
no more than 3000-3200 stall (I know this is not helping to pull the tires....)
likely starting with a 400 sbc (I have that and a forged crank)
AFR 195 heads
will get roll bar
likely add very small hit of juice (maybe 75-100 to help cool the charge)
most likely stay with a carb due to price

I think I want to get around 10-11 psi (pretty sure not more than 15), and likely start around 5.
I don't think I want turbos, due to cost mainly, and not having a lot of carb friendly kits.

Right now I'm kinda swaying between a 6-71 roots, or a cent type blower. Right now, I'm kinda looking for something I can find a good deal on, as cost is a concern (the cheaper it is, the faster I can get it done ), but I know it is not really cheap.

As of today, I'm thinking vortech t-trim. This is because the charge will be cooler than a roots, I think an s-trim might due, but I'd be pushing it and have no real room to step anything up, and I'd just wish I got the t-trim. Vortech seems to be a good bang for the buck system, with decent popularity and availability/cost for parts. With the roots, I can't really add an intercooler, the charge is hotter, I'd have to buy and tune 2 carbs instead of one. They do look cool, but there is something to be said for the sleeper look (not that this is a sleeper )

Another thing up in a air, is CR, right now I'm thinking around 8.5:1?? (pump gas, streetable, but not daily driver)

I'd be glad to take in any input anyone would like to offer to help this overgrown kid make up his mind!! (combos, setups, brands, experience, links to info...)

points I consider when choosing:
over all $$ (like the roots might be cheaper, but then I have to buy/tune 2 carbs)
power making potential (I have read that it takes a lower psi from a cent to make the same power as a roots due to charge temp??)
ability to upgrade (thinking cent blower allows for intercooler, or fuel injection easier later if I want to)
durability (roots may detonate easier, maybe harder on the motor? and I want the setup to last)
kit? (I've never done force injection, and would rather start with a kit. Not opposed to piecing together a bit, but don't really want to fabricate just yet)

currently watching the for sale forum and eBay for a t-trim (not really ready for it, but if I find a good deal between now and then, will likely get it).
