Unhappy Help ! LEAN !

Just had my 96 Z checked on the Dyno....it came back
14 at 3400 rpm then was climbing to 15.3 at 4600 rpm.
WOW..I know, it's supposed to be in the 12's !!
The unit is a 4.5, I have an ACCELL (electric fuel pump) under the driver's side and I'm running a MSD 6A.
One thing, the Mechanic said his OBD2 SCANNER was hitting
a P100 code at high rpms ( the MAF ) . I have the after market
mass air, but I have been reading that the MAF Quits at high
gpm. Do I have a bad MAF ? Should I get the MAF translator ?
I don't have a fuel pressure regulator on my z,but I do have the
POWERDYNE'S FMU hooked up. Please any advice from anyone ??
The company said I do not need injectors, THAN WHAT ??

Mack

<<I don't have a fuel pressure regulator on my z>>

What?
Do you mean you dont have an Aftermarket Fuel Pressure Regulator or that you dont even have a stock fuel Pressure Regulator on the car?

What kind of fuel pressure are you getting at WOT (Wide Open Throttle)?

How much boost are you getting at WOT?

Thanks,
Claude

Your car comes with one, so you removed it?

no..no....I was saying that I don't have a adjustable regulator....
I think it might be my computer ( I had it leaned out about 4 years ago) ( professional tuned the computer )...Just put a STOCK OBD2 computer on it......
Now I'm getting a Check engine light Maf,,I think it is Bad.

Thanks

Your check engine is not bad, nor is your computer. Now the tune probably is. I would get the Hogh MAF code too on the stock computer. When you get this code it half's the injector pulse width thus making you go lean. You need to get the code disabled so it will not do this. This will require a retune of some sort. It would be about the same price to buy LT1 edit to change it yourself than wasting your money on a MAF translator.

I ment I went back to a stock obd2 ( always have a spare ! ),
my other computer was pretty "Tweaked"..... dyno guy had leaned it out too much in 1998 ( did gain 15 HP ( before the blower),

What do you mean instead of the MAF translator ??
I was gunna get a new after market MAF....I can't clear
the code P0100....even at idle....tells me the MAF is bad
( I have a actron code reader/erasure )
