Help D1CS car is running bad

Bryan from PCMforless tuned my car and it ran great. I then decided to change the procharger dryer hose for one of there plastic inlet tubes. After hooking everything back up, the car is now running real rich and won't stay running unless my foot is on the throttle. The car is a 396 D1SC with the MAF before the blower. I my have bump the MAF. Will that cause this to happen to the car? Thanks Lee

I would double check the hose connections. Could be one is a little off and sucking air? Just a thought. Eric L

did you turn the MAF around by any chance? or the plug isnt seated properly? Sounds like a MAF or airflow related problem, and since it just started, id look back at what you touched.

I did check the MAF and the arrow is going in the right direction. Could it be that the new inlet is less restrictive and causing it to run different? Thanks for the help, Lee

The maf counts airflow, so changing the restriction in front of it would not affect anything - a leak after it would for sure though.

My MAF is at the beginning of the air inlet tube. It goes the air cleaner, MAF and then the new inlet tube that goes to intake or inlet of the procharger. I made sure there was no leaks or cracks in the tubes. Thanks again, Lee

Another thing, if the engine is cleared out and I keep it over 2000rpm, it is smooth. It want to stall below 2000rpm due to loading up, Thanks Lee

OK guys, I found the problem. I found one hose clamp loose and re tighten the rest of the clamps. I also plugged the 2 nipples on the hard plastic inlet tube. I had one plugged off already but I also plugged the one vented to the opti spark. I started the car, it was loaded up and as it warmed up and started to run better. Now the car will idle all day long. Thanks for helping out you guys, Lee
