well after a couple of runs and afr jumped up to 12.5 i got back and now have blow by and rough idle so i am sure i burned piston. so looks like another rebuild for me. can only blame myself for being greedy with more boost. havent installed the higher gauge so not sure exactly what it was making. i am guessing 21-22psi. a little more info i have 383 forged D1SC with meth kit for intercooler turned fully up with 100% meth it was about 35deg outside but i should have pulled more timing and watched the a/f closer. oh well lesson learned.

 

How much more than 578hp did it feel like at 35 degrees? Please explain your tune up.

 

21-22 psi into a 383 with a d1sc?

 

that horsepower was with 16psi through the intercoolers. you take the twins off and it frees up about 5or6 lbs. i wasnt ready for that i guess. when everything is back together i will invest in a front mount and a proffesional tune.

 

How much timing did you run?

 

had it for 19 deg max. too much for pump gas. i also didnt know it would be making that much more boost.
