goodbye paxton, hello vortech!
Today I scored a slightly used vortech kit with aftercooler for $2000 shipped (via COD) -- pretty cool deal, eh?. I told the guy I was definitely going to check out the contents before signing for it and issueing the money order. So, I have a couple questions for the Vortech guys here.
I know the major things to look for -- make sure the main pieces are there, check for play in the blower shaft, spin the shaft, etc. I'm not new to blowers, just new to vortechs.
What are some other things to look for to make sure everything is on the up & up?
I also noticed all the aftercooler tubing is plastic. I've seen hard tubing for non-cooled vortechs, but are there any places to get hard intake tubing for the aftercooler?
Thanks in advance!

On my non-intercooled kit, the piping from the blower to the TB was all plastic except for my solid intake elbow. Also, I believe the tubing from the back of the blower to the air filter is supposed to be plastic (not 100% sure on that cause I didn't get that piece). It's fairly inexpensive to have a little bit of tubing fabbed up. I had solid pieces made to replace the plastic pieces and I think that it ended up costing me about $150 total for 3 1/2 aluminum tube.
