I can't say from experience due to the fact that I don't have one, but I have been doing a good deal of research about them. From what I've heard and read, it seems that a lot of people talk down upon them because they are a smaller supercharger. They still get the job done, and as far as streetable power they're great. The place where a lot of people start talking down upon them is when they either 1) Don't understand them and just classify them as generic brand, like wal-mart jeans or something 2) See them as inferior because they are limited in the ammount of boost they can push.

I am looking to get one because I'm not try to build some huge radical high power car, I just want some decent numbers on a daily driver with a very mild setup. It comes with a 2 year manufacturer's warranty, and there are multiple places you can find to get your head unit serviced if you do have any problems with it. It all comes down to your ultimate goals with the car. If you plan on only ever wanting to push 6pounds (or a little more if you mess with pulleys). Then the powerdyne is for you, if you think you'll be wanting to push more boost later on (10-12+) then I'd most definately suggest an ATI or an S-Trim. It'll be a better invesment for the long run. Ultimately it is up to you.

IMO I would spend the money on a good set of heads and cam and get the same power output. With my setup I have seen 1st hand, cars with heads and cam only hit close to or over the 400hp mark. (LS 1's respond better to heads and cam )I just don't see Powerdynes being a good investment. Mine was on the car when I bought it. My experience with it ... it has been trouble free but just doesn't put out the power that other blowers do. For an x-tra grand or so a better blower would have been my choice. Just my $.02
