Question Going turbo

What is the best way to go about getting a turbo? What are some companies to choose from? Do you have to get a kit or just a turbo or is there ways to make kits? New at this and trying to learn as much as possible before getting into it...also, what boost to go with??? Any help is appreciated....thanks Jason

There is only one (good) kit I've found available at the moment. Pro Turbo Kits out of San Antoinio, Tx. makes it. Their number is 210-657-2706 and their website is www.proturbokits.com
Talk to greg he has been really helpful and seems knowledgeable. Emphasis on the seems part. You can't be too careful nowdays. Anyway I'm selling my vortech to buy their kit. Out the door price your looking at with a T-76 with your exhaust manifolds coated is going to be $4900.00

Later,

Justin

PTS makes a nice kit and for a fairly stock application the turbotech kit is nice to. http://www.turbotechnologyinc.com/ My car made 570rwhp pretty easily with it.

Jason,
You can buy the parts separately if you know what you are looking for. Sometimes you can find good deals on used turbos. The down side is that this can be difficult for someone with little turbo experience to get the right sized turbo for their motor, plus waste gates and intercooler. Also, you don't know how good that turbo is since it is used.
For a turbo novice I would research the different kits. Those come with everything you need and the parts are new. Do some research on both options. See what is best for you. Myself, I went with a kit. Just about done with it and should have some dyno numbers by August.

Jason, Proturbo Kits turbo is a turbonetics t-76. I am going to buy the kit minus the turbo. I've decided to go with a 74mm precision turbo. I'm gonna have to look at the pts kit.
