thinking of installing a supercharger on my second gen with LT1 .. questions within

i am thinking of running a supercharger on my (4th gen) LT1 in my 73 camaro. my question is ... do all superchargers (Vortech, ProCharger, and Powerdyne) all mount in a similar location? i may have clearance issues due to the subframe and a arms in my car .. i had to notch the subframe for the ac compressor as i am using the camaro accessory drive system.. can you supply me with a place to get some dimensions on this unit installed so i can see if i have room? close ups of a blower installed out of a car?

i would like to get to use an LT1 system with little modification if possible...

any help is appreciated.

thanks in advance.

Since no on seems to be helping you out here it may be because they just don't have the answers you need. You might try the web sites for the various s/c brands.

Here's Vortech's: http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/contact/

Check there and see what you can find. I think you can even download their assembly instructions. That should give you all the location and size information you need.

thanks

thanks for the reply paul ... i tried that site and the procharger site, but could not find info that i need. i really need someone that has a vortech or procharger to measure the width and height from a point on the motor so i can see if i have room for the unit ... is there any size difference between the 2 units?

i have no other ideas other than buying a kit and trying to install it, but then my luck it won't fit and i will be stuck...

anyone else out there care to chime in ?

all help is appreciated...

Brad,

I'll see if I can come up with some measurements sometime this weekend and I'll post back.
