George Baxter's badass blown '97 SS Camaro?
What ever happened to this car?? I don't hear anything about the car and the last I heard he was switching to another block because he felt the LT1 was not strong enough at his power level which was almost 1200hp.... I really liked this car because it was a full weight 3900lb 'vert that was hauling *** so I was just wondering what ever happened to the car and if it has gone any faster (last I heard it went 9.0 @155mph).... If anybody has any info please share it with me!
TIA

George hasnt gone faster then 9.0@155 yet.
He did swap blocks, and the new engine had an "incident" while getting tuned without the blower on the dyno.
It was somewhat of a substantial setback, but they were rebuilding it and getting the car lightened and set up for the PRO Xtreme Street class.
They swapped to the gen 1 style block because they felt the LTx block wasnt going to be durable at that power level, and it was pretty much tapped for power.

Thanks for the reply!
Do you know if he is using a different supercharger setup now with more HP potential? I'm guessing he is and with the car being lightened it should really fly! Probably will be deep in the 8's!

I am more interested in seeing Chris Sikora's car out kickin some butt. He should be pushing the GM LT1 block/heads/intake to their extremes
From what people have told me George has blown up more than a few times on the dyno.

RACINLT1,
Is George still going to be running the X-trim?
He had a lot of luck with that blower, and I was wondering if he was going to run it again with the new motor combination. Give us some more info... Inquiring minds want to know!

FWIW, I know of a guy over on www.turbobuick.com that has a Stage II Buick V6 turbo motor that has 9.5:1 CR and he runs 38lbs of boost with a PT-88 turbo and this motor stays together!!! His name is Cal Hartline and he also uses a Sequential FAST system with individual cylinder control.... He is one of the better tuners with the FAST system and his 3400lbs stock style suspension 10.5" tire GN is running 8.50's @160mph
