Gen 6 Dfi

Just looking for some feed back on this system for FI eng...wqhat do you guys think of it

Better then tunercat/LT1edit, would this be the right step...

Would this system work in a daily driver car, with A/C ...M6, how hard is it to tune ,

how well is the O2 sensor for tuning...

Re: Gen 6 Dfi

From what I hear, don't bother unless it comes with the wide-band O2.

He is the kit

Includes:

LT1 DFI Computer
Calmap Software / Cable + Base LT1 file to get you running
Stand Alone Harness
2 Bar MAP Sensor / O2 Sensor (used)
All Instructions for Software and DFI
Low impedance Injector Converter (run low z injectors!!)

Re: Gen 6 Dfi

I seem to recall something about the early Gen 6 computers not being able to handle 8 injectors at a time or something funny like that. Maybe the memory is a little slow tonight. Anyways, I would check the number on the computer and cross reference it will Accel to see if there are any known issues with the computer. Just my .02

Re: Gen 6 Dfi

Gen 6 DFI is better than using LT1 Editor or TunerCat because you can change the timing/fuel requirements for the boost. It comes with the VIC (Variable injector control) for use of LOW-Z injectors, this allows you to control each injector individually.. It will work on a daily driver car, but, I would look into having someone tune it for you. Getting the wide-open stuff done is easy, getting the car to idle normally and run good when not at wide-open is the hard part..

Re: Gen 6 Dfi

I'm using it on a twin turbo 3rd gen and it does the job. Sometimes I feel like I'm playing Space Invaders due to the straight from the 80s interface.
