Fuel system questions.

I know I want to run dual walbro 255lph pumps in the stock location using the pickup. And I know I want to run a -8 feen line and a -6 return line. My problem is right now I don't have a garage to work on the car. And I don't want to work on the car in the drive way. Does anyone know of anyone that make a plug and play kit that will drastically cut the time of install down. I haven't looked at ractronix for sometime now because I don't really like the method of the second pump being setup on a boost pressure switch.

Also can someone explain why I need to install a relay for the wireing?

Thanks.

Nevermind, I've figured out what I'm going to do.

What are you going to do? I'm wanting to do the same and I am just curious.

Well, I'm going to clamp two 255lph walbros as low as I can in the fuel tank. Then I'm going run a flex hose from each pump to the fuel panel. I'm going to have to fabricate a new fuel panel with an additional bung in it for the extra pump. Then I'll use a y connector to a single -8 feed line and run a -6 return line. Finally I'll redo the wiring using a relay that will be on anytime the car is on.

Re: Fuel system questions.

Thats what I did! I fabbed the fuel transition plate from some 1/8 steel flat and used bulkhead fittings. I used the plastic screw connectors to connect the electrical. Dual 255 Walbros on top of each other. I use 3/8 steel threaded rod to fab a holder for the modified stock bracket. Also, I used an adhesive called "seal all" for seal of all the bulkhead and npt fittings. Painless has a good fuel relay kit. I also run a K-Bell booster on one pump. Now I have enough fuel to feed the D1 ATI. Went in from the top rear pan to get @ the tank. Very easy.
