Forged kits minus cranck available ?

I'm seriously looking into blowing the Lt-1 and especially since my project has been taking for ever i might aswell take the extra step and extra costs and go that route.

I'm now looking for the most affordable forged kit (rods, pistons, bearings, etc.)
I've been doing some reading and noticed that several people found out that the stock crankshaft can take quite some beating so i don't plan to change that bad boy.
I have no 500+ hp aspirations at this time so i've decided to change the rods and pistons for proper forged ones along with the needed bearings and rings, etc.

Are there kits like that available ??
I have seen complete Eagle kits but they include the crank and JE pistons that bring it all upto $1999 and since i've heard good things about Forged Probe pistons and like to keep the factory crank for now i was hoping to found a kit that would suit my needs.

Anybody ??

You might ask Dave if he would cut you a good deal on a rod/piston/ring kit.

You can buy the pieces individually for pretty cheap if you are not buying a crankshaft.

That's what i've heard but strolling across the web using a 33K6 military modem isn't that easy so if you have pointers at prices that are hard to beat i'd appreciate it !
Also recommendations on what brands/types not to get would be apprciated also, i have very little experience in this area as i've never changed, let alone tried, internal replacement parts.

97WS6, thanks and i'm PM'ing Dave next and see if he can help me out !

Diamond pistons are a great piston at a good cost, SRP are also good. Eagle, Manley and Scat H beam rods are all good rods. I purchased my Diamond blower pistons from SStrokerAce here on the board and got a good price. About the bet prices I have seen on some websties are cnc-mototsports.com for pistons, rods and etc.
