Regards,
Turbo timers have security features. They work.
I'm more skeptical about something else going wrong when I'm not there, like a fuel line leak or some other form, and not from theft.
If you drive the **** out of your car, then go 5 min really easy on it, you should have no need to time it more then a few moments. If you beat the snot out of it and get the turbine housing to glow, then by all means time it...
But for most people, it's better to sit there and time it by hand, as opposed to using a timer. They do work, but it's adding one more level of complexity to the system, and I'd rather not do that.
And with today's bearings, turbos, and oil, it's not quite as necessary... And besides, it's easy to do a turbo rebuild after you do an Lt1 cam swap with the engine in the car!
When I had my old Tsi AWD I had a timer for about a week, then ditched it and have never looked back. It's all a matter of personal preference, and I prefer to say no to turbo timers.

That would have been a good statment but you are the who keeps posting your ignorance with stupid comments that have nothing to add to this thread. You have no idea what my level of intellgence is or what my lever of car knowledge is. You must just think that insulting people with out proving you own intellegance is a good call. Its not and when people read this thread they will see it, so keep posting away and back up your own theory.
