fmu

How important is it to have an fmu on an s trim with stock 24 injectors.

LOL....Exactly.

You'd better have it on there or you'll run lean as hell and grenade that engine.

You're better off getting bigger injectors (42 lb at least) and tuning the PCM for them.

The stock injectors and computer program can't provide enough fuel to feed your SC, therefore you'll run lean and destroy your engine. A FMU boosts the fuel pressure to make your 24 lb/hr injectors feed more fuel (24 lb/hr at 43 psi). A better (more HP) and safer way is to bump up the size of your fuel injectors and have the computer custom tuned on a wideband O2 sensing dyno for a safe air/fuel ratio.
