FMIC or stay w/ Aftercooler

Here's the deal. I'm getting a Complete Vortech S-trim kit w/ the aftercooler for dirt cheap from a good friend of mine that got it by collecting a debt. It has everything right down to the instructions. I'm putting it on an all forged 383 built for a blower. I was wondering if I should keep the aftercooler or go with a big FMIC. My bumper cover needs to be repaired, so I was goona fix the tear in it and then cut out the center where the fog lamps are and hide the FMIC there behind a billet grille. Is a FMIC more efficient and more effective then the aftercooler? Or should I stick with the aftercooler? Thanks for any help you guys can give me.

I feel the aftercooler is probably the best setup if you have the room for it. it works extremely well in warm temps also, plus i loved being able to toss in ice at the track. I am going to a FMIC, but only because I ran out of room under the hood...to go a frontmount, you have to move the battery to the trunk and get rid of abs, both of which i also would have liked to have kept

You can keep your ABS and your battery up front if you like with a FMIC I have seen it done several times on LT1 cars?

I was gonna move the batt to the back anyways and I thought about getting rid of the abs to clean up under the hood. I'm going to upgrade the much bigger brakes too!

I ran a Vortech aftercooler with ABS and stock battery location. Plus, I've proven the aftercooler up to 140+ mph in the quarter, so it will support plenty.

HOWEVER, if you choose to get rid of it, let me know. I've been looking for a used one to put on my jet ski.
