FMIC on LT1 TA

Anyone know if the 2 foglight holes in the front of an LT1 style trans am will allow enough air for a front mount intercooler for a procharger? Anyone have any pics or ideas?

It has been discussed on here, and everyone seems to agree that yes it will allow for some airflow, but not enough.

I've seen one car that cut out the area between the fog lights and installed some mesh screen in that area painted body color, the idea didn't sound too good but when I saw pictures of the actual car it looked really good. You have to use some thing thats got fairly large holes in it to allow plenty of air to get through.

Re: FMIC on LT1 TA

here's mine when I got the car, I didn't really like it, and it wasn't effective because the prev. owner pulled out all of the ducting underneath to "help" with cooling.

so I got a new bumper and all the plastics and took alot of time trimming everything to make sure it all fit as close to factory as possible. I think I'm going to make the intercooler a bottom feeder now.

Idle air temps barely move above ambient temperature during a quarter mile pass.
Just cut your front end out and seal the bottom to convert it over to a front breather.
Here's another pick of what's under the bumper cover.

Sorry, no pics with the intercooler mounted. It is the width of the bar in the front, tucks up behind the headlights and is level with the underside of the k member at the bottom. Overkill for my little blower.
No engine cooling problems at all, even with all that intercooler in front of the rad.
