Finally back up and running! Dyno results inside.

Well after 2 long years and a set of melted Custom Ross Blower pistons, my car is back together and running great. Here is a quick rundown on my setup. Do these numbers look right?

Ellwein Racing engines 385 stroker.
Unported Dart 180 heads
AI Cam 22X/23X 112LSA
A4 with PY3400 stall
3:42 gear stock 10bolt
D1SC making 15psi
Meth Injection (running meth only no H2O)
26 degrees timing

Car made 588RWHP/657TQ

I feel that this is a little low for 15psi, plus the car peaks out at 5500. No matter what we did with the tune it would not make anymore power past 5500. AFR is 11.5+/-. Tuner says that the cam is the issue with no more power above 5500..

How much more do you think I could make with full port on the heads and a larger cam?

I don't think the cam is limiting you to 5500 rpm. If anything the 112 would make a bit more power up top.

Is the boost holding solid at 15psi? Post a graph.

I'd get another tuner is he said the cam is limiting the power, lol. What inlet do you have?

jsetzer: Not sure if the boost is falling off or not. I wasn't able to be there for the dyno tune. I have a print out of the run, but I will have to take it to work to scan it in.

T/A Kid: I am running the new "hat" intake from Procharger. It's the one that replaced the dryer hose kit.

The tuner is a VERY Reputable tuner in this area on several platforms. The dyno graph shows peak HP actually closer to 5700 then gradually declines from there. Peak TQ is at 4100 and steadily falls from there and making 530TQ at 5800. The Dyno is a Mustang Dyno. Not sure why he thinks the cam is limited in the upper range other than he doesn't like the 112LSA on a blower motor.. Car is a beast and easily pulls 40-50mph burnouts on Nitto DR's!!

I'd still like to see a run with the new filter and no filter on your car. Really curious to the new procharger setup Vs my 4inch tubing with a large filter?

You could expect another 50rwhp from a dyno jet so that helps. Whats your pulley combo, and is the TQ coverter locked? Any ideas on IATs?

Mustang dyno is putting your numbers a good 10-20% lower than a dynojet would. So those numbers look purdy good.

If it peaks at 5700 and gradually falls off that may not bee too bad. If it craters that early there is a problem. How high did it pull and what was the hp/tq there? Get that graph up for us.

hp seems a tad low, really torquey tho! Mine on 8psi made 583/491, I think the torque was low due to not reving high enought for the big t6 turbo and a exhaust leak, bc i couldnt go over 8psi,

Also sounds like our cams are simaler....230/236-114lsa.
Post a graph.

T/AKid: Pulley combo is 7.65 crank & 3.4 blower. Converter was unlocked and I am not sure of IAT's. Going to talk more with tuner and get a better overall picture of what is going on.

Do you guys think I could gain much more with a different Cam?

Can you repost your graph or a link to it? It's not showing up for me.

Wait,,, 600rwhp through an unlocked auto? Go run it down the track. Dyno numbers are dang near worthless on this setup.

I don't understand your statement. I thought you could not lock the converter at WOT? So are you saying my numbers are acutally higher than they would be if you can lock the converter??

Those are some badass torque numbers. I'll bet you will have fun with that car. Nice work.

Here is some of my input, for the low numbers.
1. Mustang dyno ( you could see another 50rwhp from a dynojet)
2. TQ converter being unlocked, yes you can lock it and I have seen as much as 40-50rwhp from that as well.
3. Blower speed with a 7.65 crank and a 3.4 Blower pulley at 5500rpms is only 50,737 out of the available 62,000 rpms, so you have plenty of blower left, either raise the rpms (when you figure out whats going on) or swap some pulleys.

BTW I like you cam choice, I have a 224/230 with high lift lobes on a 112LSA on my setup. Blowers like a little overlap IMO.

What intake is on the car? Its making the TQ it should in my opinion but, HP is lacking.
