Thumbs up Finally! 1 yr later. She's alive!

I feel so stooopid too. My FP wasn't high enough. Makes me wonder if the dleteq would work now. The HI-6R I'm not sure about as I didn't retry it I just used the coil only. It was only at 35psi so I went to 60psi and bam it started then died. Set it to 43psi and boom 1st crank! I'm so far from putting it on the road though. 1 it's loading up on fuel at idle running 11.0 afr WAY too rich and causing the top end to just expose fumes to no end burning my eyes. Looking at the VE table it's idling around a 900rpm but the green bubble is lounging in the 315kpa area and value is 88. Man this is going to take long learning curve! LOL

Now I have to go study in depth on how to get the afr to come down at idle and a host of other things. I couldn't let it run more than a min because it was too intense. Have excellent oil pressure too 60 psi @ idle.

Just thought I'd finally share some good news. Now I'm off to do some research and get the afr to lean out at idle and go from there.

what size injectors are you running?

fuel pressure at 35 should not cause it to not run, mine is fixed at all times at about 32psi (only way i can make my 160 lb injectors idle)

I'm running 72lb RC injectors. I thought so too but the proof is in the pudding...well at least for me it is. I didn't do nothing different. Just verified I had spark and that was it. Only thing I did do was change the crank to run mode from 100 to 300 rpm. I've still have a weird problem w/ the XFI though reading a locked 24% tps reading. Don't know what that's about but I'll worry about that later.

Does the xfi use the TPS for accel enrichment? Without TPS, my car wont hardly run if its warmed up, no way will it cold start

I'm not sure if it can be use for AE. I'd have to look and find out.

I know you have some work in front of you to get the car where you want it, but congrats on getting her fired up!

Thanks guys! A lot of work is an understatement! All my tables are backwards for starters so I have to get that fixed before I can go any further. Have an oil leak at the accumsump soleniod valve. Took it apart and 60psi worth of oil blasted the garage. LOL Retaped w/ teflon and it still leaks at the npt fitting. Totally pissed off about that than I am about the XFI. Gotta run as I'm loading the update now and pray it works!

Don't you think 160lb injectors are a bit overkill with your setup?

On the street yes, but once on race gas, and in race trim, 96's would be pushin it. The 160's were a bit cheaper than 96's so i opted for them.

They CAN be made to idle and have good street manners, just alot of work. My idle is 950rpm, ~15:1 AFR, with 1.2ms pulsewidths, 20* timing. I've found them to idle better without trying to use the IAC, just adjusted idle with timing and the idle stop screw on the TB.

Well the update didn't work. I can't get the ecu to recognize the laptop. So now I'm back to square 1. Hopefully I've got an older version tune I can play w/ that shows the tables being correct and go from there.
