few newbie questions....

1. Will a vortech t-trim work on an lt1
2. Will any inline fuel pump work or does it have to be made by the same people who made your blower?
3. Same question about a FMU
4. Do I need an intercooler?

Thanks, Jason

Re: few newbie questions....

1.Yes
2.There are a variety of pumps that will work.
3.No. Prolly wanna ditch the FMU anyway and tune with LT1_edit or tunercat.
4.It's a very good idea.

Larger Fuel injectors and the required changes in the program to run them. I would recommend the Racetronix single intank pump for what your trying to do. For the price it is unbeatable, totally plug and play, and will support 550 Rwhp, if you need more fuel run a boost-a-pump for up to 650-700. Screw the inline pump!!

As far as intercoolers, if you can't fabricate piping yourself, I would try to get a hold of a Vortech Aftercooler to handle your intercooling needs. Intercoolers take the heat of compression from the compressor out of the air making it possible to run more timing without detonation thus making more power.

Re: few newbie questions....

The Racetronix wiring harness comes with 10 gauge wire all the way from directly on the Alternator (highest voltage in the system) to the pump harness. Ever look at the tiny wires that are on the stock wiring harness? They result in voltage drop which results in less output from the pump. At a little over $200 (I believe... It's been a while since I looked at their webpage) You can't beat it. Sell the intank you have and pick up the Racetronix kit. They sell injectors too, so it will be a one-stop-shop!

Re: few newbie questions....

I just looked up the webpage again...

http://www.racetronix.com/Racetronix..._Pump_Kit.html

Looks like it's $249. Still a deal!
