F1 blower or NX with D1sc for Trans am
F1 blower or NX with D1sc for Trans am
I have a D1SC maxed out at 15 psi and it wont make anymore
i have a 3.4 pulley on it and i am shifting at 6700 the best i have run with the car is a 11.005 at 128.89 with a 1.674 60 ft. i live in las vegas and that run was with a DA of 5120 feet. I want mid 10s out of this car and it will be either a F1, a NX kit or.... what ever it takes with out removing anything from the car this is a street car not a race car lol
This is a 6 speed car with a full suspension Qa1 single adjustables all the way around with the coilovers in the front v-6 springs in the back Spohn everything else the car is a piggy though 3975 without me in it
but thats they way it goes. this car made 700hp 640tq sae to the wheels.
which would you do NX or Bigger Blower F1
Dont worry i have the fuel system and everything else to support which ever
I really want to do the F1 pulley it for git-r-done 20+ pounds of boost and have some fun
I have both an F1 blower and the NX kit
Thanks
Steve

Re: F1 blower or NX with D1sc for Trans am
A like the NX shot on top of the blower. It helps to cool the intake temps. On my 10# intercooled setup, I only see a 10 degree rise in temps from start to finish in the quarter mile with a small 75 shot.
Re: F1 blower or NX with D1sc for Trans am
I forgot to add this car has a Air/Water inter-cooler 3 core spearco on it with a 5 gallon tank to cool the air. the runs start at 60-65 degrees and end up at 115-130 degrees in 105 las vegas heat lol I am over spinning the blower by 6-7000 rpms i think the math was i will have to look again. I think the blower speed was 72000 rpms give or take a few.

I say go for the N2O also. If your hooking up good out of the hole, the nitrous will really get you moving too. You should see a pretty nice torque increase if you spray it. Any way to drop some weight on that thing? She's fat!

I'm not sure, but I think only the S-trim, T-trim, and YSi-trim fit the same bracket.
But if you already have both N2O and F1 head unit... then just do it!
Re: F1 blower or NX with D1sc for Trans am
ramair96ws6 considering you have an 7.625 crank pulley and a 3.4 blower pulley at 6700 with your D1SC your spinning the blower to 61605 RPM out of the 62000 RPM availabe. You still running the 236/248 114 CM cam??? If so what spings are you running with it?
How the hell did you manage that, lol. Thats the problem and the heat. I know guys with your amount of power in 3400lb F-body's cutting 1.3-1.4 60's running mid to high 9's at around 140.
Since you don't want to loose weight go with the f1 Blower, then again a little 75 shot would do wonders.

I bought the F1 2005, this year a nos wet kit
Havent done any serious testing yet but it helped me in to the 1.4 area (60fot) on dragradials that have been used all summer.

Well if you already have both just install them
If your only making 15#s with the d1 the f1 won't get you up to 20+#s I guess that altitude is really killing you but hey the juice is your own little weather machine let her rip!

Since the F1 doesnt seem to wanna fit with out some grinding and some new tubing im going to start with a 100 wet shot and go from there
if this doesnt get me where i wanna be ill spray more
this motor has awesome parts in it so i should be fine
Custom Je pistons, Dyer rods, Callies Race master crank, blah, blah blah,
