Electric Water pump or BE Cool radiator?

Hi everyone,
I was thinking about putting a BE COOL radiator in my car and it would have been already done if I did not have a Procharger P1SC sitting in front of the motor. The question is " Will the fan shraud clear the SC unit or belt or any other moving parts if I install a larger radiator? When I installed the Procharger I did modified the fan motors as Procharger ask to do by moving the electric motors closer to the radiator.(If you installed a Procharger you know what I am talking about). Or if I get a larger radiator will I have to buy a different fans?
I noticed that alot of people on this forum with SC had Electric WP and stock radiators. Is having Electric WP is a better mod?
I though that first you need a larger area to cool the coolant and then move it faster with the help of Electric WP. If you start moving coolant fast but the cooling area still small then coolant will not have enough time to cool in small radiator.Any input is greatly appreciated.
If suggesting any parts please provide the name of the make and part number.
Thank you.

My personal opinion is the stock radiator and fans will work fine. The electric water pump for me was a necessity because I wanted to use a cloyes true roller timing chain. I've had 2 stock water pumps go out on me since I bought the car new in 97. The electric water pump is easier to change if it goes bad.

I think the problem that supercharged cars have is airflow. The supercharger blocks airflow through the engine compartment. Aftermarket fans and radiators will most likely not solve this problem. Most of us have to turn off the A/C when when idleing in traffic during the hottest months of the year(90 degrees and above). This is because the AC condensor gets so hot it preheats the air before it goes through the radiator.

My car has to idle a long time(20 minutes) in very hot weather with the AC on max to reach 250. I've gotten under the car during these conditions and the air flowing through the radiator is too hot to even blow across your hand without burning you.

I say buy the electric pump for the mentioned reasons and stick with the stock radiator and fans. Aftermarket radiators and fans create there own set of problems and are very expensive. JMHO

both will help the radiator will help the most, but i would do both, radiaotors have come down in price also so for 560-700 you can have both and stay nice and cool. I have electric W/P and no a/c and my car still gets little to hot for my liking 210 with 160 thermostat, i'm changing radiator over the winter, plus not a bad idea to change a 10+ year old part that probably has all kinds of crap build up inside of it.

I have a be_cool rad and Mezz water pump mod (97ss M6). I did not like the water pump drive on the LT1. The stock fan assembly would not clear a p600b set up. A single large 16" flex-a-lite low profile can clear, but it will need a custom mount. I have (2) 12" flex-a-lights with a custom mount to fit the rad profile and provide clearance. The Idler pulley required cut down due to swing interfearance. I now have a D1 with 12 rib belt. This did not clear untill I cut the Idler pulley down. The 3.4" driven pulley would not clear the stock fan assembly. Now I am moving the rad forward for additional vac pump mod space and air flow (cut the mtr_compartment rad supports off). I also agree that air-flow is minimized with addition of the procharger on the stock rad set-up. Hopeing the mod will enable better air flow. B.

all this extra work for nothing, sorry but d1 with 12 rib clears all you have to do is remove the radiator plastick top cover screws and redrill new holes about 2" closer to the engine which alowes you just to grab the whole radiator and move it towards the front of the car 2". I'm still using stock fans

A be_cool radiator will not clear the SS hood (possibly clear a stock hood) when moved forward (when pivoted on the lower rad support) due to fill neck cap interfearence. With the be_cool rad in the stock location, the ss hood still had to be clearanced.
