electric supercharger?!

this is an electric supercharger for sale for a 100 bucks...now i think this is way to good to be true and am asking u guys to knock some sense into me...but u think this will work? even a lil bit, maybe not like the 80+hp gains u'd get from a real supercharge but would it work even the slightest bit?

REALITY CHECK

That POS puts out only 200cfm. your motor NA will require more than 300+. Boosted motors even more! It won't even supply enough air to run your car NA at WOT, therefore it will become a restriction and do nothing to help and everything to hurt!

If it doesn't look something like this :

http://www.boosthead.com/home.php

I wouldn't touch it!

A simple comparison:

It takes roughly 30 hp to drive a supercharger.

746 watts = 1 hp

746 watts / 12 volts * 30 hp = 1865 amps.

How many amps max can your alternator supply?

That would require 1" diameter cable to run and the electric motor would have to be as big as your LT1.
