Eaton M112 LT1 Project near completed.

Here are some pictures of how its coming along.

A few of the pictures show a M90 mocked up on the car. this is because my M112 is at a professional fabrication shop getting a upper intake built. I tried it myself but as you can see in the other pictures I suck at welding BAD

The upper should be done tomarrow and all I have left is to drill and tap the upper intake for vaccum fittings, cut and tap the lower for the blower (easy job), and tighten everything down. I expect to be driving the car either tomarrow night or saturday depending on when i get the blower and upper intake back.

I'm using a Crane HI-6S for ignition/retard, vortech FMU (speed density car), vortech T-Rex, ford SVO 30lbs, and autometer boost/vac gauge.

I'm also doing something very very unorthadox with the injector bosses... we will see if it works

ENJOY

Looks pretty good. It's nice to see something different on the LTx cars these days.

At this point i just want it to work..

I expect a good extra 100-150 hp and probally a unlimited potential for me because these blower can put out like 18psi on the 5.4L's

I'm really looking forward to all that extra torque.

I've been telling people I might not race it much if any after this because I'm still on a stock tranny, rear, bottom end, etc

This is a project I have been following pretty closely, especially on since the roots style blower would be great for an A4. I posted a question about this about a month ago and saw your car. How much do you have invested in this and how much do you think it could be replicated for? If you don't want to post the info, can you PM? Thanks,

Kyle

So far i'm in the hole about $1400 includeing new blower, spare intake, rails, FMU, ignition, and fuel pump.

I wouldn't consider this without access to a machine shop.

I would be done with this thing right now if i could ever get my upper intake back. I had to give it to someone to build monday and hes still not finished with it.

Now you can race 03 cobras and be evenly matched the way it should be, but they will still biiitch when they see your tail lights and say it was not fair .

Nice work

Nice work

yeah really.. those guys think they are hot stuff

The big idea of this project was to go the other way with makeing power. Because I must drive the car long long distances more and more often I want to step down to a smaller cam yet still have the power to scare the crap out of me.

After this is done I'll be planing a rebuild with some really modest camshaft

I would really like to make around 430rwhp and get better MPG than the EPA says i should.

BTW.. I got the blower on the car tonight. Check the above website for new pictures. I gave up early cause i was tired but expect to finish and at least crank the car tomarrow.

What are you doing for fuel management besides an FMU? I would recommend an APEXI AFC. It should work out well with a speed density car. Not sure if it would work with a MAF though. You could also get rid of the fmu with it. I would presume it would work almost the same way as it does on a honda. If you haven't heard of it, its called the AFC hack. Might be worth looking into. Not sure what you can do as far as timing goes. I would expect its going to run WAY too much timing on the low end with 12 - 18lbs of boost all the time. Can you get those ecus programed? Anywho, good luck with it and keep us up to date!
