Re: dyno dissapointment

The boost guage is reading 12 lbs.It was at 10 lbs until i went from a 3 inch filter to a 4 inch.My tuner had it 25 degrees of timing out of it and the pcm is pulling a extra 2 degrees out of it to make it 27 degrees around 6k

Re: dyno dissapointment

If your tune is at 25deg for timing and your saying its pulling 2deg out, then you'd be at 23deg of timing. You need to give us more info if you want more help. What does the whole timing map look like? What is the timing at in the 100kpa (in boost) cells say from 3k rpm to 6k rpm? How much meth are you spraying and when? Is the meth set up to spray on a boost referenced setup? You have a small or big nozzle on the meth system? What is your actual A/F ratio on the dyno? There's really no way to help you really well unless the folks out here have that kind of info. IMHO, i don't really think its as much of a set up problem as it is a tuning problem. Like stated above, should be 550hp setup all day long, but if you don't get the tuning right, especially with the meth, you can forget about that...

Re: dyno dissapointment

The meth is set up by the hz's from the mass air flow.I have it starting around 8.5k and ending around 11k.Its a single nozzel thats suppose to be good for up to 600rwhp.I think its adding 2 degrees of timing instead of taking it out so if it was at 25 its at 27 around 6k

Re: dyno dissapointment

Well, you can see where the meth dumps and then it doesn't look like you have the injectors that can keep up up top. Your air/fuel should be a lot flatter then that.
I would say get those injectors and work on getting the air/fuel in the mid 11's for starters. You are lean up top.

Re: dyno dissapointment

Fix the fuel issue - And go to a dynojet or a mustang dyno so we can halfway compare the numbers.

I think the superflow reads low when calibrated properly. I think it is one of those like the mustang that you can skew with one setting.

Re: dyno dissapointment

I just don't see how an AI headed 355 can put down that low of numbers with 10-12 lbs of boost. Like others said your a/f ratio curve looks bad but damn! What compression is your 355?

Re: dyno dissapointment

compression is 8:9:1.The fuel injectors were getting maxed out at 4.5k rpms befor the meth was even sprayed.Im hoping the reasioning is lack of injector and turn the meth up to full spray.

Re: dyno dissapointment

I think i might have found the problem.there was coolant that started to come out of the exhuast so i though it was a blown head gasket. So i pull the head off and the mulit layer steel gasket is just fine.So i looked into the head and there was 3 cracks in the exhuast ports. The heads have less then 2k miles on them and never been raced yet.advance induction is trying to say that it was my fualt the heads cracked cuz of the tune???there are no heat spots on the valves or anything.the compression on the car is 8:9 and i was only running 10lb of boost for 95 percent of the time i had the new heads on there.Im trying to have them replace the heads That THEY cut to much material off but there trying to say evrything they have to so they wont have to exhange anything.Talk about good buissness right?hahaa
