You may have no problems depending on your climate... Its good idea to have nice opinions... When you bought the car you didn't have any problems either or you shouldn't...

Either way I would like to know if there is really more airflow and if it will help on really really hot days or a bigger radiator is the only solution... Most people have had no difference with the bigger radiator.. some people have had worse and others better... Looks to be the same with fans... I certainly dont think that a substantially bigger radiator will not yield any gains and so are the fans.. So it would be nice to see some detailed experiences...

I guess that for 600rwhp am going to go with the be-cool and the spal fans as LJ did

Semi-related here, but has anyone run one of AFCO's radiators for the LT1 cars? I think they were in the high 400s which was lower than BeCool.

Brady, how much room did you gain w/ the 16" fan? I need to get as much room as possible and switching fans looks like an easy fix.

Someone here must have the info on what CFM the stock fan flow or what kind of benefits they saw by switching to the aftermarket fans.

Thx,
Claude

I'll be running the dual 11" Trimline's like suggested above. This will be on a custom radiator as well (stands straight up instead of @ a rake), and I need all the room I can get on my setup.

Let us know how it goes... I want to do something when I get my car back together and i think i will still be using the stock radiator... i just want the fans to flow more air for when the a/c comes on.

The flex-a-lite 220 does fit (actually really nicely...) I'll post pics in a day or so. They are supposed to flow 2500 cfm. Wait til you see the pics. This is going to be a very popular swap, if they flow as much as the stock fans...

They definately open enough room for the HD Meziere, so there's 50% more water flow than the CSI, as well...

More later, TJ

The CSI is rated at 35-37 gpm depending on where you read. The standard Meziere is rated at 43 and the HD Meziere is rated at 50. The HD should flow ~70% more water than the CSI.
