Decreasing compression ratio

I'm planning on picking up an 05 GTO with the LS2. I'm wondering what the best way to reduce the compression is - new LQ4-LQ9 heads? reshape the combustion chamber in the stock LS6 heads? I'm not looking to build the bottom end at this time as I'll be short on cash from buying the new car; but I want to put either a supercharger or a turbo on it by the end of summer.

What about cams? Anyone know if there are any gains to be made from the Lingenfelter turbo cams vs. stock?

TIA (Thanks In Advance)

Re: Decreasing compression ratio

Cheapest option is probably just slap a set of stock 6.0L LQ4 heads on it. That's what I did to drop compression on my 5.3L.

Do you know offhand of the LQ4 heads have the sodium-filled exhaust valves, or if they're the same diameter as the LS2 valves?

I really couldn't tell ya the specifics on them.

You might check on LS1tech in the truck section or in the LS1 motor forum. Someone there should know if you don't get an answer here.
