Debating E-Cutout
Debating E-Cutout
Hey Im wondering if it would be worth it to run a e cutout right after the down pipe exits the engine compartment. Right Now im running a magnaflow catback with all 3 in from the turbo back. Im only running 6 psi worth the money or not?
3 inch is probably fine for what you are needing. it may help alittle on the track, but i'm not expert on that stuff.
I'm definitely getting an e-cutout on mine though. The previous owner told me my car has a 2 1/4 cat on it (boo), with 2.5inch exhaust and a flowmaster muffler. it's gonna need it with boost for sure.

Manual one would be cheap. If you like it then order your electric one and it should bolt right on.
fwiw - I have no cat back. My downpipe dumps in front of my driver side front tire. Idle is good - sounds like a NA car. Cruise you hear no exhaust at all, only whistle. Same when you get on it - Little grunt at first and then just whistle once it spools.
I know you are asking about power, but I'm sure sound is part of the equation.

I dont know on hp numbers. Blew out the tranny and it wont be done for my first dyno appt so Im going to wait till spring to re schedule the dyno. That way I can get some paint done now.
