Daily driver LT1 with froced induction???
Daily driver LT1 with froced induction???
I'd like to go the forced induction route on my car, but its also my daily driver, including Canadian winters, would it jsut be stupid for me to do this? I was thinking that the ATI one would be best, but maybe a turbo cause then I dont have so much more power off the line for in the winter.
Also for my dads SSEi they advertised that the SC gave the car better gas milage, would this hold true on the LT1 as well, or is it jsut to large a beast for that?

Not sure how much he posts here anymore but there is a guy named Jacob that had a Powerdyne blower on his Z28 for the longest time. He put crazy miles on it. He delivered pizza in it during his college years. He drove it in Illinois winters...probably not as bad as what you see up there, but pretty nasty sometimes
He beat on th car like crazy and had good luck with it. First trip to the track on a cool night he hit 7PSI and the motor with 9x,xxx miles on it finally popped. He still drove it 1.5 hours back to school doing about 120 mph...LOL
As far as better gas mileage thats not gonna happen. When you add more air, you need more fuel.
For a daily driver I really wouldnt recommend it. When its down for repairs or whatever you are kinda screwed...and force induction is gonna need more up keep than what a stock or NA car needs(unless its a highly modded NA car...)
As for Jacob, I think he is daily driving a Supercharged C5 now
