D1SC help

I'm finishing everything up on my build and am having a really hard time figuring out how to run the intake side of the Procharger. I have a UMI K-member (road race version) that is directly in the way of the 4" tubing. I desperately want to stay away from the dryer hose crap, but can't figure out what to do. The kit was made around the factory K-member, and I now that I have the performance one, of course it has to get in the way. Does anybody else have this set-up, and if so, what did you do? Every other pipe in the system is powder coated aluminum, and the thought of dryer hose is killing me!!

I'm using the new style procharger inlet. It's made of hard plastic, and fits fine with my tubular k member.

I considered getting one of those too- but spending top dollar on $.05 worth of shaped plastic really bothers me..

Talk to somebody who knows how to work with aluminum. It won't be cheap though.

I went to a local building supply and found a hose that is much more reinforced than the ATI dryer hose and the covering material seems to be tougher. I don't know exactly what it is called (I think is is some sort of exhaust hose) but it would take a lot of force to collapse this. It makes a nice bend at the inlet of the SC and then you can route it however you want. I am very satisfied with it and it is a lot less expensive than fabbing up something or the plastic alternatives.

That's it, I'll have it made this week.

Cheers,
