Thast still alot of compression to be running that much boost. I would pulley find another pulley combo and come down on the boost. What else have you done to the motor b/c if she has the stock bottom end then be prepared for a rebuild.

If you can run 11lbs without a problem then I do not see 12lbs being a problem. Also when you start messing with higher compression and boost you typically have to either turn down the timing or run race gas.

OK I just noticed that you said that he says the D1SC set for 12lbs of boost. What kind of setup is he running? You will not see 12lbs unless your setups are identical.

I have an S Trim i am going to be using because I already own it. I was gonna install on my my stock bottom, but decided to do a 383 buildup. It is a small blower for the cubes, but it will do for now.

Now if the person you were gonna by the D1 from was running 12psi on a 350, then you wont see that much on a 383. Also how well the heads flow can affect the boost levels as well. Big cc heads should show less boost then smaller cc heads (runners). Correct me if I am wrong.

Huh ?

Sounds like your heads flow alot better than his so you will make less boost.
