crankcase vacuum through exhaust pipes??
crankcase vacuum through exhaust pipes??
I've talked to some guys that know quite a bit about engines and stuff and all recommend running some sort of vacuum in the crankcase. Would running vacuum through the exhaust be enough? I know at idle it won't produce much vacuum but as the rpms/load goes up, so does vacuum, whic is perfect. Only problem is I don't know if enough vacuum will be produced to even make a difference in the engine
Pan-evac system. They work well on open header cars, at higher rpms (5500 and up)
Problem on a street car is you don't see that much, and the mufflers add enough back pressure to partially negate the gains.
I ran one for a while on my N/A setup, but it seemed to pull some oil out of the valve covers, even with good breathers and baffles.
I also ran the PCV in conjunction, for lower rpm help.
