Clutch opinions....please feel free to post
What RWHP level are you at? That will determine a lot, but you shouldn't be going through street twins like that at all. They should support 1,000 RWHP. You have definatly got some other issue going on with your car you need to figure out first to make any clutch work.
I am personally running a SPEC stage 3 in my Z with no issues. If I would've went with the 3+ I probably would have the perfect clutch for the power I am at, but the stage 3 seems to be hanging in good so far, even with some abuse with some slick runs at the track.

Yes, I read that in the original thread. But is it 600 HP at the flywheel? Or 600 HP at the RW? It makes a big difference. Either way, that clutch should handle almost twice what you are making. There's something wrong with your car you need to figure out before you put another clutch in.
I am with 'call911'. There has to be another issue that is causing the clutch failure other than just the clutch itself. Driving habits , improper setup, another damaged or failing portion of the drivetrain.
I've used spec in my other cars and have not had a single issue, most were turbo FWD and the other was my daily driver neon I sold recently. They get a bad rep here, but most of the time you only hear the bad about a product and very little of the good no matter what it is. Who's going to post letting everyone know they just hit 50k on a Spec 3 clutch and they have been beating the **** out of it.
Most issues I see with Spec are people who think they know how to break them in, or they went either too large, or too small with the clutch for their application. No company is perfect, so I have see a few off that don't fit into these categories and just plain come down to a dud clutch. If there were a perfect clutch company, you wouldn't need to ask this question, because the answer would be clear as day.
My next clutch will be a Spec unit (running the RAM that came with the car until winter)
