Car not boosting, think wastegate problem

So, i have the XO2 Racing 44mm Wastegate with a Tial spring in it.

All of the piping from turbo to intercooler, and intercooler to intake is all there and hooked up and tight.

Now, the turbo spools, just dont really feel the power, and boost guage does not go past 0.

Wastegate is referenced into the piping before the throttle body.

Now, theres supposed to be a nut on the bolt that sticks out on top of the wastegate, well, its missing now, is that maybe my problem?

well, replaced the nut, and still not boosting. This is going to **** me off.

Any other ideas? Any way to test a wastegate?

Take the wastegate off an see if you can push the valve open with your hand. If its tough, then you know the spring is in there doing its job.

alright, i took the wastegate off, and it was hard to push, but i could indeed push it open.

Gonna check to see if one of my silicone parts came loose.

Thats how it should feel with a low boost spring (like 5psi)

If you have an air compressor build you a cheap leak tester, its easy and one of the best tools to diagnose charge or hot part leaks.

I have a couple in different sizes depending on the pipe.

Does the car feel like its running normal at 100kpa? I had a bad plug wire and it was enough that the car wouldn't make boost and stumbled a little bit.

well, took the filter off thinking maybe i had a massive restriction there, still no boost.

Turbo spools, but I never hear the wastegate open at ALL, meaning i dont think theres any boost there, but, not sure cause my car is so loud i cant tell if it opens or not lol.

are you just revving it or are you drivng it with a load on the vehicle, because without a load on the turbo, you will not see boost

driving it.

Took the guage off, checked it with an air compressor as recommended by Autometer, it sees boost.

The guage sees vacuum when driving, but does not go past 0.

I know its not much help, but just keep working backwards.

You know you have to aave boost in the intake to make more power, and you know you have to spin the turbine to make boost. Some part of the system has failed.

-intake leak
-exhaust leak - does not have to be huge, I had a bad header gasket stop boost from building, althought the turbine would still spin up - sounded like it was boosting, but was not enough to actually force air into the motor
-something causing the exhaust to not have enough energy - way rich/lean, timing off, bad spark plug, wire, distributor, fuel related issue - whats the wide band look like?

I have had the turbo mask engine problems, because it makes it so much easier to go from vacuum to 0psi it seems to be running normally, less of a load makes it feel like it is running well sometimes.

did u ever test the exhaust for leaks? That would be my guess from seeing the amount of weld u have one them and all the places welded.

I say get some sea foam and run it through the intake, I bet u find some leaks.

thanks, i'll check the exhaust and such when i get the new line for my guage in. Had to order it, no place locally carries the nylon line. Shipped form summit today, so, it should be here this weekend.

I will work backwards like you guys mentioned.

This has been really ticking me off though.

The tune has it pretty rich the whole way, around 20:1 at idle, then when floored, it maxes it out.

I do not think its a plug wire since those were good before i went turbo, i will check plugs.

yeah, it goesanywhere from 20:1 to 24:1 to 16:1 when cruising, then when floored, or even over 1/2 throttle, it'll dart up to 10:1, or even 7.5:1, maxing out the guage
