can you reverse wire a fan?

I've come to the conclusion that my driver side fan wont fit b/c of the turbo flange. Could I take that one off and put it on the front of the radiator and reverse the wires to make it push?

Since the motor is 12vdc, theoretically you could reverse the wires and make it spin backwards, but the fan is molded to pull only, not push. If your car still has AC, then theres something else that will screw you. I know there are some slip fans out there that the turbo guys are using. Do a search and you can find out the info that you want.

That's what I was thinking that it would reverse, just like a motor in an rc car or boat. I'm really trying not to spend the money on thinner fans, I'd rather just move the driver side fan to the front of the radiator since I dont have the ac condenser anymore.

Unless you can figure out a way to flip the blades around.

Interesting, I'll have to look into that.
