can anyone answer this question????

I'm doing a tranny swap in my 95 firebird. I have a procharger on this car. I'm swapping in a th350 tranny. The tranny needs vaccum to shift and all I have to offer is boost. I do not want to manual shift all the time. I was told of a part that will replace the vaccum module on the tranny. I think the part# is 40m. I found a place that knew of this part, but can not tell me where to get it. Someone out there has to of come across this problem before. Please help!! Where can I buy this part?????????

You have vacum before the blower's intake, right?

I was told that putting a line before the blower in the intake would not work.

I had a t fitting installed at my brake booster line and ran it down to the modulator, this was with a modified 4L60E btw so it's not exactly the same situation. I had a kit that eliminated the pressure control solenoid and used vacuum instead.

As long as you tap into manifold vacuum (after your throttle body) you should be fine. The modulator is what controls the line pressure and it's only affected by vacuum. As far as it's concerned boost is the same as no vacuum. It's basically the same design as a fuel pressure regulator.
