Reminds me of the old Potvin superchargers from back in the day.

The dual supercharger is a pretty cool piece of engineering, but will it make more power than a single supercharger? I guess it's like the argument of a single vs twin turbo. One could be set for boost down low, and the other could be for the upper range.

Not quite the same argument. Single vs twin turbo was big back in the day when lag was more of an issue (like putting a huge turbo on a supra). Twins were used to give the same flow as a larger single turbo without the lag since the smaller exhaust housings would spool faster. With two of the same superchargers feeding the engine you drastically increase the volume of air available to the engine though if it's not capable of handling the increased airflow then it's not very useful. You're also adding even more stress to the crank snout. Seeing as they're talking about YSi and F1s you can assume that setup is meant for big race motors and not street setups.

Being able to set one blower for low speed and the other for high speed would increase the complexity and cost considerably. They actually used to do it on fighter planes before they switched to jet engines. The superchargers essentially had a 2 speed gear box that could shift between high and low output and/or run multiple superchargers in series.
