breathers necessary on s/c'ed motor?

I just bought summit aluminum valve covers. In their present form, they wont work. I have to hog out the front of the pass. side to clear the alternator. And they also have no fill holes or breather holes. I am going to drill into the pass. side cover for the breather. My question is should i put breathers on both sides, or is one enough?

I think you can get a breather that will go onto the oil filler cap (so I'd combine the 2) , as well I also thinK the pcv allows the drivers side to breath so it's not necessary to mess around with that side.

The vc's came blank. Fabbing required. I am drilling my own holes. They are 4" tall, which will require a little hogging out to accomodate the alternator. I am drilling a hole in the passenger side vc as i already have a breather there. I need to know if it would hurt, help, or no change to install a breather on the driver side as well. Thanks for the help...

Yes two breathers is a good thing. However, I bought some aluminum valve covers on ebay that were notched for the alternator for about $90.
