Boost seems like it takes to long to reach.

I been wondering if i am getting the correct amount of boost for my set up. When i first give it gas the vacuum will drop steadily and then start to make boost around 3000-3500 rpm's. It will barely make 0-1 psi of boost when it shifts into 2nd and starts to go to 2 or 3 psi when it shifts again. I get a peak about 4 to 4 1/2 and that is after 70 mph. Is it making boost even thought it reads vacuum but is approaching boost? I have no other source but here so i am at a loss of what should happen. It is amost impossible to make boost unless i really get on it and go wot or accelerate to high speeds like 60-80.

No. Your gauge is reading intake manifiold pressure - real time.

You are only going to see 'boost' at WOT. Everything else is bypassed. That's normal. If you are only seeing 4.5psi, What do you expect to see??

exactly 4.5lbs you should see at high rpm when you are wot, not just normally driving the car.
