should my boost guage read boost in park or do you have to be driving the car to read boost thanks

 

Well if you revved your engine high enough with no load in park to make boost you'de probably spin the bearings and it wouldn't be good for the engine.
Most guys have a vaccuum/boost guage which would show 15-17 in of vaccuum at idle in park. The boost won't show until you go WOT or close to it.
