boost gauge needle vibrating...

boost gauge needle vibrating...

when i hit past 7 psi or so my boost guage needle starts to vibrate and its hard to tell how much boost i am actually running..any ideas why it vibrates...i have it T-ed into the intake manifold....

your belt is slipping on the blower.

hmmm....are you sure about that...the belt looks pretty good, its not shinny or anything and i have a SDEC tensioner so its probably not very likely?

yeah then probably not, but Ive always heard that if you see the boost gauge start to dance its usually your belt slipping.

hmm..the damn guage is brand new...oh well i guess ill get a new one and see if the problem goes away...btw i tighten up the belt and put zipties on all the vacume lines and did not see anything change.

No mening to put to much stress on the belt. Last year when we run 17psi on oure F1 (stock tensioner) we didnt see any "vibrations" more like 3-4 dips on the neadle on a 1/4 mile run...
What brand/type on the gauge do you use?

its an autometer guage...i talked to few peopel and it seems as it may be deffective..ill be goin by summit sometime during the week to get a new one.
