Boost Gauge Installation

My buddy purchased a vortec super charger and engine from Alvin@pcmforless last yr,motor was junk when we got it installed,so he had the motor completely rebuilt..We are installing a boost gauge and need to know where can we hook up the gauge to get it to work?I tried a vacuum port on the intake that we are using for the snow methonal kit,but that did not work...Any help appreciated.

The intake port should have worked, that's why no one is able to suggest anything to you. Where else do you think you would put it? Maybe your hose to the gauge is kinked somewhere under the dash. Maybe it is leaking at the gauge end. Maybe you don't have any boost or maybe there is a problem at the fitting you've connected it to. I am assuming you have it installed in the dash somewhere, but if it is not installed, then it should be a simple matter of connecting it to some pressure and seeing if it works. Otherwise, to test your gauge, maybe you can try a Mityvac to see if it is working or not. Or blow a little compressed air into it. Heck, if you can get an engine and a blower kit installed, then you should be able to get a boost gauge to work.

I did blow air into the gauge and it worked..We are using the same vacuum port as the Methonal kit,and it works no problem..I said the same thing"i can build a engine,install a supercharger"but cant get a simple boost gauge to work...

I aam running about three vacuum/pressure signals off one port and I have a Snow meth controller, too, however, I am not sure my gauge is from that port since there are other ports I am also using. Maybe just try a different port for kicks. Are you using a hard line for your signal pressure?

I tapped into the brake booster line and run my vacuum/boost gauge and the map reference line for my methanol kit off it. I pieced together the "T" with brass hardware from ace. Lowes or home depot should have what you need as well. Hope this helps

Did you check the line to make sure it's not kinked or cracked?

I'm assuming it not a boost gauge but a vac/boost gauge. Intake manifold is where you want it. Maybe you're not making any boost.
