boost gauge install, procharger flex hose
boost gauge install, procharger flex hose
Say guys where should the boost gauge be tapped in, mine is in the elbow is that alright. And in the back of my procharger it is fed by a orange piece of flex hose that looks like dryer vent hose. Is there a nice fabbed piece that a guy can put in place of it so the air has a smother flow.
Re: boost gauge install, procharger flex hose
if you are running a vacuum/boost gauge, you will want to tap in to the manifold itself.. otherwise when you snap the throttle closed, your gauge will spike not reflecting accurately what the gine is actually seeing.. vacuum is created when the throttle blades are closed and the engine is trying to fill the cylinders with a very small opening at the TB. so tap the manifold, likely the fuel pressure vacuum line is a good source to T from, but about any good vacuum port will work.

What NC-LT1 said! Now, about that orange hose. ATI has a better one available now. It's more rigid and less prone to collapsing. There are also some molded rubber elbows on the market that could be used. But they'll require a little additional work.

You can run a boost/vacuum guage simply by T-ing into one of your vacuum lines on the drivers side manifold next to your PCV Valve.
