boost and a 50 shot?

I have a lt1 with a procharger between 9 to 10 lbs of boost non intercooled with 9 to 1 compression.I believe i have a big enough fuel system.I will be running 93 pump gas.Do you think i will be ok spraying a 50hp wet shot.I also have water injection but i am only spraying water.Should i add alcohol also?I am currently running a 11.60 and i am looking for more. Thanks for any help

It depends on what the details of your bottom-end are....

Post up the details and we can tell you if it seems like your car would handle it

The crank rods and pistons are all forged but it is still a 2 bolt main. The engine only has about 2000 miles on it.

Is the procharger maxed?

I would throw a couple more pounds at it and a small shot.

11.60 @ what trap? Or HP?

if your getting detanation from more boost, you eather dont have enough fuel or you have to much timing, not having an intercooler isnt helping. if your getting detanation dont try to spray the motor till you get it worked out.

I just figured that 12 lbs was too much boost for non intercooled.I know i have enough fuel pressure.I am working on a intercooler also.

I would do a methanol injection setup, and then try to run more boost. Not running an intercooler will actually allow you to be able to run a little more boost, as an intercooler usually robs you of a few #'s. The methanol injection setup will keep your IAT's low, and keep you away from detonation allowing for the extra boost. I would do that, and then get a good tune done, and I think you should see much better times at the track as well as quite a bit more power.

The other thing to consider if all you want is a better track time is suspension. What were your 60" times? If its anything slower than a 1.65 you could get some better times with some stickier tires or a better suspension setup.
