Ok so shes back together again, and running. First thing Ive done is added a little more fuel in the upper rpm range, and then I set timing to 22* above 4k rpm and 20* by 6k rpm. I ended up cleaning up my heads and re-using them as its taking my machinist too long to setup the canfields and I still need offset rockers for them and possibly diff. pushrods. and valvetrain as they were setup for solid roller with lots of open press. Used the 1074's again. The KB pistons looked to be in great shape, so im glad i bought the 2618 alloy vs. the 4032. Ill load the new tune tomorrow and see how she reacts. Gotta check my meth system too and make sure the nozzle isnt clogged or something. Wish me luck.

Oh and the car might just be for sale if anyone is interested. Need the cash for dp on a house. $6k cash the way it sits, vortech s-trim, nitrous, built trans, full interior (good condition) minus radio, a/c still works.

I wish you would have posted it up for sale before I dropped 6k on my new setup.

Yeah, its a car, Im not attached to it like I was my first that got t-boned and totalled. It was immaculate. This one never made it to paint, although I have a free paintjob coming for it. Build it, beat it, break it, fix it. I do this **** for a living so it aint **** to me to drop the engine out if need be, but with this body style, it does get old when you add alot of stuff to it. If it goes and I get the house, it wont be long b4 I get an old school nova, f-body, or something along those lines and twin turbo it myself.

On another note, I believe I found the culprit of the whole disaster. My meth line appears to have gotten a tad too hot from the header and melted the plastic line and probably mid run it burst and I lost the meth injection, leading to crazy IAT's at 15 psi probably causing detonation and blowing the gaskets. Oh well, like someone said earlier, bette to have the fuse as gaskets than cause extensive damage. Guess the 26* advance I had in there wasnt the issue afterall, it just aided in the dilema.

Been trying, mom had my truck while down on vaca., so the t/a saw some daily useage for 3 weeks str8. Getting closer to gettin the 383 shortblock done, so ive been gettin on her pretty good.

Long time since, but here's the pics of the gaskets from b4:

As you can see, it elongated the bolt holes and almost spit the gasket into the lifter valley. Funny thing is it still ran, just didnt want to idle very well, lol. OOOOPS. Gotta have patience learning FI, and a deep pocket, or ability to do the work yourself.

They look just like mine did. I think we were in an identical situation. My arp bolts may not have been properly torqued (my torque wrench was clicking way too easy the next time I used it).

I think a lack of clamping pressure let them push out and walk around between the head/deck. With felpros we have no reinforcement other than the fire ring.

Getting ready to put mine back together again. 1074s for my fuse and studs that will be properly torqued with arp lube and 2 wrenches.

edit ** My last felpros
