Yes, I did a search first, but I didn't come away with a satisfactory answer.
OK, we're talking about a street motor, semi-daily driver LT1.
Something reliable, not a constant money pit.
Leaving plumbing issues aside for now...
I am torn between Supercharging and Turbocharging.
BUT, another question that occurs to me is that I can go with a relatively high Static Compression ratio and a fairly low boost.
(say for instance 10:1 and 6 or 7 pounds)
OR I could go low compression and high boost.
(Say 7:1 and 15 pounds)
And of course if I go turbo there is single or twin.
Now, I don't really want to have a lot of backpressure, because that starts to get into inefficient.
And so far I am planing to leave the intake flow alone, other than cleanup, and work on the exhaust flow.
This gives me basically 6 options to chose from:
1) supercharger with high comp & low boost.
2) supercharger with low comp & high boost.
3) single turbo with high comp & low boost.
4) single turbo low comp & high boost.
5) dual turbo with high comp & low boost.
6) dual turbo low comp & high boost.
How do I go about selecting which is the best setup, not necessarilly the coolest.
Or does it even matter? Could I just as easilly throw a dart at a board?

You can cut that list in half by taking out the high compression options... I mean why spend all that money just to run 6 or 7 psi with a twin turbo or a blower??? You better run at least 12-14 with the blower and even higher with the turbo.
Secondly, you have to decide how much time effort and money you want to put in to this. A low comp blown engine would the cheapest and easiest to tune, that's why I did what I did instead of donig the turbo tech kit I originally had. It's a different situation for everybody though. Choose wisely.
