Blower Cam

This is what I have waiting to go in. It was orginially for stock bottom and my AI heads.

Cam Specs ---- INT EXH
Adv Dur: 275 285
Dur @ .050 224 236 Lobe Sep: 115.0
Valve Lift .568 .535

Will this serve me well for 383 as well or would it be worth it to get something a little different?

Re: Blower Cam

i have a brand new in box cam motions hydrolic blower cam made for a large displacement (383+ ci) lt1 engines with 95 plus vented opti...duration 236/243, lift.582/.593(w/1.6 rockers) 114 lobe sep...ill sell it to u for $275 shipped to your door...(lift is about .546/.556 with 1.5 rockers)

this cam would benefit you more with the 383 than your current cam.

Re: Blower Cam

Thanks guys, but I am not looking to buy a new cam just yet. I just wanted to get an idea if I should look into a different one because I will be increasing cubes.

I don't know a whole lot about cams and what cuts would be better for what setups.

I am planing to run a forged 383, -31cc JE/SRP pistons, with my AI Full port LT1 heads....

They have CC977 springs, Ferrea 2.00 6000S int and Ferrea 1.60 6000S Exh.
Average Chamber volume is 55.6cc.

Intake CFM flowed 270 @.500, 277 @.550 .@600 and .650, 276 @.700
Exhaust CFM flowed 193 @.500, 197 @.550, 199 @.600 and up to 204 @.700

I have 1.6 RR and plan on runing between 12-15lbs possibly with alky inj

What would be the "best" cam for this setup and how far off is the one listed at the top?
