Question Blow through MAF or not????

Is it better to locate your maf in the beggining of the intake tract before the blower or after the blower??? If it is located before the blower the maf will be reading incorrectly because some air will escape out the bypass valve or the blow-off valve when you let off the throttle. However if it is located after the blower and the blow-off valve it will correctly monitor what is going into the motor. However I've heard that maf's are designed to monitor unboosted air which means that it will not read properly if mounted after the blower??? Does anybody have info or been through this scenario?? I know that some people use our GM LT1 maf's in their Eagle Talons or Eclipse's with the blow through setup without any problems. Will it function properly in our cars??

Re: Blow through MAF or not????

IT works either way. The MAF reads oxygen, so the compressed air just has more oxygen per unit of volume so the MAF still detects it as more air.
