Blow off valves

I finally got my car going and put some miles on it, but when I got on it and seen 10+ psi of boost then let off it my intake pipe blew off. I am using a GReddy type s bov. What type/kind of blow off/bypass valves are you guys using? Do you guys think it could have blown off right before I let off the throttle?
Any ideas or suggestions would help. Thanks, Steve

Re: Blow off valves

we have 1 gready type S (copy) after the IC and the stock procharger valve just after the SC. 13-14psi, no chattering from the SC and no problem wídh hoses (only use the cheapest type of clamps)

Froom what i have heard tial 50mm BOV are good for our cars and can handle a lot of boost/horsepower... or if you wanted to go super huge you go with a gidzilla BOV but the are $$$$... my $.02

Re: Blow off valves

Our experience with big boost the Turbosmart Megasonic and Tial 50 have done the best jobs for the $$. Their are other units out like the G-zilla and HKS racing BOV, but they are much pricier and you gain nothing.

Re: Blow off valves

I would upgrade the type S to a type R, the S is a 35mm valve, the R is a 47mm valve, it will purge/vent more pressure than the S. I am assuimg your turbo is pretty big.
