I have alot of experience when it comes to ATI blowers. Personally, I think the S-trim is alot better blower than the ATI P1SC. Every single P1SC I have installed or seen has leaked. This is a pretty common problem with their blowers. This is something that is not covered under warranty and I believe it cost $250 to get the seals replaced.

Do a search on www.corral.net and www.superchargerhelp.com

Every company has problems with their blowers. I believe Vortech had issues with their SQ blowers.

The only way to get advertised power out of a vortech is to turn the timing and boost up so far that it voids the warranty, and blows up the engine. My friend put a procharger on his LT1 formula and loved it. Said it improved a second and a half E.T. I think but I don't know how much boost he had for sure but I'mpretty sure it was 8 psi. Just don't go vortech they're overrated and you won't get the promised power.

I went with an ATI after reviewing each manufacturer's specs and options. I did not need anymore than an 8psi for my build. I have a good 50-100 more HP built into my engine and that ensures my reliability. If I ran 12 PSI, I would be heating things up a little too much and reduce my life expectancy of the drivetrain. It already melts the tires at will.

The ATI, for me, provided the intercoolers and the P1SC has not had one problem. I give it its oil change about every 5K and it's happy. It is very, very cramped in our cars and the piping always needs some muscle and tweaking to fit. I've had hose crimping and had to induce resourceful problem solving to effect.

I was completely satisfied with Vortech's product line and have complete respect for unit's performance.

I think if you take an Aftercooler-equipped Vortech and a Twin-High flow Intercooled ATI, you are at about the same expense. But you can get a self-contained unit that does not necessitate the installation of an oil feed and twin intercoolers that work superb.

Hey I'm not brainwashed this is what we're hearing from the people running the dyno's testing the superchargers. We've got the test results at the shop in black and white. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself.

I would seriously suggest going to a different shop if those are the results they get from a Vortech unit. It is totally ridiculous to make a claim like you mentioned above. I am not even going to waste my time to argue this any further. Believe what you want.

Is the performance shop you are referring to a Procharger Dealer? Different shops have different preferences. For example I have talked to people that are strictly Vortech dealers and they say ATI's suck. Both Vortech and Procharger have fast cars out their.

We've had good luck with Vortech SQ and YS trims and we are about to test our YSI trim.

Yes, the shop I am referring to is a procharger dealer, but we have the results form the official tests at the shop in black and white. It's not a preference it's a fact and we have it on paper, but everybody has their preference and I'm not going to convince you that this is true unless you see the results yourself.

I have a P1SC. I've flogged the hell out of it. It uses a little oil(under an ounce) every oil change(5K miles) but its got 54K miles on it.

I can say this much. Air temp outside in Vegas Saturday night around midnight was 93*...on 7# of boost(that's about 9# for sea level) the Air Intake Temp(AIT) never went above 110*. The intercoolers work awesome.

Both kits are good, but I went with the ATI. I would go with either P1SC or D1SC and with the SDCE spring tensioner kit. That I know you will not regret.

Good luck no matter what direction you go.

Are you referring to this?

There are alot of Mustang and Camaro guys out there running Vortechs and making great power. I believe both ATI and Vortech has their advantages and disadvantages. I do not feel one is better than the other. It is all a matter of preference and what your goals are.

No, that's not what I'm referring to. We got a letter in the mail telling us about the law suite and how they were going about settling it. The results we got were as stated before procharger's were underrated and vortech's were overrated. Everybody has their preference and some people are hard headed, I'm just sticking with this because we have the results.
