ATI Crank Pulley ridge?
ATI Crank Pulley ridge?
Just beginning the install on my camaro, and notice that on the back of the crank pulley there is a ridge sticking out about 1/8" or so. This doesnt let much at all sit against the balancer. Is this normal? It looks like the pulley will break if you tighten the bolts much. This is supposed to be a stock pulley for an 8lb system, everything is used, but from pretty reliable sources.
I havent test fit it to see if the belt lines up like this, so cant tell you much there, I also thought maybe there is supposed to be a spacer of some sort to go between the pulley and balancer?
Thanks for the help.

There is a (approx 1.5") spacer that goes between the pulley & the balancer. Also there are 3 (approx 1/8"thick) spacers that fit in the flat machined surfaces of the balancer that align the spacer & the balancer.
